On our last day in Ordesa we hiked along the river, watched the kayakers and started getting ready to leave the next morning. It rained all night... really the first good rain of the trip so far... and we packed up wet. It didn't matter, we had had a great time in the mountains.

When you hike in these mountains you need a lot of patatas! |

We reached San Sebastian in the afternoon in the heart of the Basque Country. Where the mountains meet the coast and the language is far different from Spanish. After another hike and tapas we found a campground up the road in Sopelana and ended a long day.

Up early (for us) we drove the curvy coastline to the small fishing towns of Bermeo and Lekeitio. We drew and watched the fishermen and the towns people as they went about their day. We camped on a high hill over the Bay of Biscay and found it a bit chilly.
